Dealing with Christmas and Cancer
During the holidays, our 1800 431 312 Cancer Hub phone line will be temporarily closed, with the last operational day on Friday 22 December. All support services will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
During the festive buzz of Christmas and the holiday season, we acknowledge that for many families affected by cancer, it can be a time of complexity and mixed emotions.
Whatever your situation, one of the most important things to remember is that you’re not alone in navigating this journey, and help is available.
What support is available?
While our regular Cancer Hub services will be on hold, we understand that cancer doesn’t take a holiday. That’s why our online community Parenting Through Cancer will be available 24/7, allowing you to connect with other parents and care-givers who are in similar situations, whenever you need it. Or, if you’d prefer to speak to someone anonymously, our counsellors will be available most days – find out when they’re online.
Our team have also collated some practical tips and resources to help you navigate through the challenges that dealing with both Christmas and cancer can bring.
